The finned tube adopts the form of base tube covering aluminum tube, (the base tube can be carbon steel, stainless steel, copper) through machine extrusion to form the fin, the base of the fin is close to the outer wall of the tube, with high heat transfer coefficient and excellent heat transfer performance.

The advantage of finned tubes is that :

when the heat source or cold source is liquid, such as steam, water, thermal oil. When the gas needs to be heated or cooled by the gas, a larger heat transfer area is required. The area of finned tube is several times or even 10 times that of ordinary light tube. This not only increases the heat transfer efficiency of the equipment, but also greatly reduces the heat transfer cost.
